Electromagnetic winding that generates the magnetic field required to produce direct linear motion.
Field Coils
Field coils are electromagnets that generate a stationary magnetic field in machines such as motors and generators.
Encapsulated Coils
Coils sealed with liquid epoxy, varnish, or resin materials that seal the winding to provide moisture resistance, dielectric strength, and protection from environmental exposure.
- Potting: Poured epoxy to seal and protect components. This can also improve thermal dissipation and dielectric strength.
- Molding: Over molding of coil assemblies for structural integrity, environmental protection and dielectric strength.
- Varnishing: Vacuum varnish impregnation for moisture resistance and improved dielectric strength.
